The project consists of an extension to a villa built in the 1990s, in a traditional Provençal style. The idea is not to conflict with the existing structure by adding a contemporary extension that would detract from the whole; instead, the aim is to create harmony, so that it appears as though the extension has always been there.

The interior treatment, meanwhile, is contemporary, with a focus on framing views of the garden and sequencing the spaces leading to the extension.
